Mr. Dong
56, Taipei, Taiwan
I don’t remember how many years ago it was, but during a blood donation session I was told I had the hepatitis B virus. From that moment I learned to be careful in my daily life, especially with my diet. I don’t drink and I usually go to bed at a fixed time. Even my family is tired of this way of living, but I insist on it, because I know the hepatitis B virus is liable to develop into a serious liver disease.
In April 1999 the four members of my family caught a flu that was going around the city. They all had to go to the hospital and take medication. However, even though my wife and children had already recovered, I still felt tired and lost my usual appetite. I had the feeling that food was sitting in my stomach. I thought it was due to indigestion or to the cold medicine I was taking. One night, I suddenly felt a sharp pinch in the upper right of my abdomen that kept me from sleeping. I got up to fetch the painkillers from the drawer. I took two pills and fell asleep.
Mr. Dong shares his testimony about liver cancer and Tian Xian Liquid.
At first I thought it was neuralgia; over the next two days I felt no pain. On the third day, while I was teaching at school as usual, an immense pain forced me to double over. My pupils saw me turn pale in a cold sweat and took me to the school infirmary. The nurse arranged for me to be admitted to a hospital and informed my wife. The doctor asked me about my health over the past few years and said I would have to undergo various medical examinations. Finally, he urged me to take my hospital stay calmly while I waited for the check-ups. I did not need my wife to stay with me at the hospital, since I could manage by myself. When I felt better, I began to walk around and struck up conversations with some of the patients’ relatives. Next to me there was a person suffering from liver cancer in its final stage. It struck me as strange that I had been placed in that section. The next day, I walked around the area again to find someone to chat with when I noticed a patient reading in his bed. I picked up one of the books at random; it was “A good cure for cancer: China No. 1 Tian Xian Liquid.” Seeing how high the man’s spirits were, I had a good talk with him.
He told me that he had liver cancer in its fourth stage. On a friend’s recommendation, he had started taking Tian Xian Liquid three weeks earlier, and now he was able to sit up and read on his own. He added that if it were not for Tian Xian Liquid, he would already be dead.
I felt a little downcast and began to think. Did the doctor suspect that I also had liver cancer, and was that why they had put me in this department of the hospital? When my wife came to visit me, I revealed my suspicions to her. Before I had finished, she began to cry. She looked at me and told me that from the moment I was admitted, the doctor had known from the ultrasound that I had two cancerous tumours in the liver — one of 7.5 cm x 8 cm and another of 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm. The further examinations they did were to see whether there was any hope of a cure through surgery or any other treatment.
Things looked black for me. I was lost for words! I did not know what would become of me. Would I be reduced to skin and bone with a huge belly like the man next door? It seemed my wife’s tears had dried up. I could not accept such a fate! I was only 56. Why had cancer attacked me, someone who led such a disciplined and ordinary life? I wanted to scream, but I could not make a single sound. Besides, I was afraid that screaming too loudly might rupture the tumours in my liver.
My wife took me in her arms and we held each other tight, wishing time would stop. At that very moment, my children came to see me, arriving from school. Seeing us embracing surprised them. They had never seen their father and mother in such an intimate situation. Seeing the grave expressions on our faces, they anxiously asked what was happening. I did my best to calm myself and explained that their father had liver cancer and was waiting for treatment. My elder son blurted out that the father of one of his schoolmates also had liver cancer. In addition to the hospital treatments, that man was also following the prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine. I thought he was referring to the patient I had spoken with earlier.
My elder son immediately asked his classmate’s father for information about Tian Xian Liquid. My wife and I studied the matter carefully, skipping over the scientific details, of which we understood nothing. We compared one product with another. At the end of our analysis, we decided to seek the doctor’s opinion on whether I could also take Tian Xian Liquid.
The next day, the doctor said that because the tumour was so close to the main artery, an operation would be very difficult. He decided to carry out an embolisation treatment first, which involved mild side effects, followed by additional treatment based on the results. It was at this point that I was able to consider my situation calmly. In the specialist magazines I found a great many toll-free phone numbers, which I tried to call. I did not expect to reach the head office in Hong Kong. The lady who answered the phone explained their services to me in detail. What tempted me to try the product was the fact that, before providing it to the customer, the association wanted to know what the patient’s situation was and what treatment he had received so far, in order to work out how they could help.
The fact that the company asked such questions gave me a sense of seriousness, so I decided to take the medicine the lady prescribed for me. I also asked the patient who had been next to my room about his condition after taking Tian Xian Liquid. In my case too, Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine treatments were combined.
I left the hospital ten days later, once the embolisation treatment was finished. I continued taking Tian Xian Liquid and stayed in phone contact with the Hong Kong office for consultations. The association also advised me on matters that deserved my attention, such as stress in daily life and diet. It seemed to me that they were not just selling a product but genuinely caring about each of the patients who came to them. I also kept in touch with the father of my son’s schoolmate. He shared with me the same feeling that we were being looked after by a group of people who are truly concerned about us.
My wife also consults Hong Kong on dietary matters and always receives satisfactory answers and advice. Now I pay more attention to my physical state and urge my whole family to look after themselves and their diet. I don’t want any of them to be affected, nor any of my children to go without the care I would have given them if I, the backbone of the family, were to die.
I have been taking Tian Xian Liquid for over a year up to now, and these days I pay attention to the stress in my daily life. My family is more united. I want nothing more than more time to spend with them. Tian Xian Liquid helps me a great deal, and the company that distributes it acts as my guide.
I would also like to thank the Chinese-Japanese company Fei Fa for its assistance and concern. Now I value much more what I have! I am not alone in my fight against cancer, for which I receive a great deal of moral support. Even though it involves considerable expense, I believe life is far more important than money.
I would pay anything just to be able to live one more day.
