In the autumn of 1996 the size of my stools began to gradually shrink. That was when my bowel problems started; because their peristalsis was badly disrupted, I often felt very severe pain.

My condition worsened in February, when I noticed blood in my stool. I then went to the hospital to have the appropriate tests done. After several examinations the doctor told me I had ulcerated rectal cancer.

Over the next two months I underwent radio- and chemotherapy. I only left the hospital once their troublesome symptoms had eased. However, the cancer reappeared in 1998. An endoscopy showed the growth of my tumour. This was also confirmed by a rise in the CEA marker to 7 mg/ml.

I began using them and after about 3 months my bowel peristalsis improved and the blood disappeared from my stool. A CT scan carried out at the end of January 1999 showed that the tumour had gone and that the CEA marker result had turned negative. I kept taking Tian Xian Liquid and Suppositories. Three years have passed since the diagnosis of cancer was made, and so far there has been no recurrence of the disease.
